Tattoos
Hi! Tobias here. I'm an amateur Tattoo Artist who got his start in October of 2021.
My skills are improving, but still limited, so I try and stick to what I'm good at. I prefer working in black and gray with stipple shading as I've found this technique most suitable to my style. I like doing nice solid tattoos with minimal color.
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT SO THERE ARE NO SURPRISES OR CONFUSION.
Disclaimer: Please do not take any of this as offensive. I'm a dad, I have a day job, I have a freelance business and my time is very valuable to me. In that regard, read on.
-PLEASE BE ON TIME!!!
This is my biggest pet peeve. I am there early to set up for your appointment so we can get to work as soon as you arrive. I expect you to respect that and show up on time. Not only do you disrespect my time when you're late, but also the time of my potential client scheduled after you.
-Eat & Hydrate!
Be sure to have a snack or a meal before your session. Bring water or fluids to stay hydrated. This is especially important if this is your first tattoo.
-Be Clean & accessible!!!
Pretty please come in showered and clean. This is a close contact business. If you come in smelling bad, I will send you packing. Again, this is all about respect. Please dress accordingly and make the area to be tattooed accessible.
-Forbidden Fruit
I will NOT tattoo genitals, palms, bottom of feet, inside your mouth or eyelids.
I will also not tattoo any subject matter that I do not agree with, find disrespectful or ethically wrong.
-Deposit
I now require a $50 deposit on all tattoo appointments payable via PayPal or Venmo. This deposit is non-refundable, but will apply towards your tattoo. I will consider a deposit refund under reasonable circumstances and at least a 24 hour notice of cancellation.
-Cancellation Policy
I need a 2 hour notice of cancellation and a 1 hour notice that you will be late. If you plan on being any later than 10 minutes, please don't bother showing up.
-Rates
My shop minimum is $100 which covers anything up to an hour of tattooing, i.e, simple flash, small tattoos.
Anything beyond an hour worth of work is $100 per hour and charged in 15 minutes increments rounded up or down.
Quotes will be estimates and price is subject to change depending on how well you sit and how many breaks you need.
I do not charge for breaks that I take,
Cash is always preferred.
I also accept Venmo, PayPal or Credit Cards. Credit Card transactions will be subject to sales tax.
-Hours of Operation
I'm scheduling appointments mainly for Fridays & Saturdays all day.
I will consider late appointments Tuesdays & Wednesdays after 5:30pm or Sundays after 4pm.

Tattoo Aftercare:
Your tattoo will be wrapped in Saran Wrap or Second Skin.
-If Saran Wrap is used, please keep on for 2-3 hours. After 2-3 hours, remove the Saran Wrap carefully and gently wash the tattoo area with an anti-bacterial, unscented liquid soap (I recommend Dial Gold). Dab dry with a clean paper towel (please DO NOT use your bath towel and do not rub or scratch the tattoo), then apply a light coat of Vaseline or Aquaphor to cover the whole tattoo. At this point you may wrap it in Saran wrap again if desired for your first over-night to avoid staining your sheets, but not required. Just keep it clean and treat it like an open wound. Wear loose fitting clothes over the tattooed area if possible. Repeat the cleaning process two-three times per day for a couple of weeks. You can shower as normal, just don't use your body wash to clean your tattoo. It's ok if some of it runs over the area, just rinse it off promptly.
-If Second Skin is used, leave it on for 24 hours, then slowly peel off pulling from top to bottom (I recommend doing this in a warm shower), then repeat the same cleaning steps listed above. After first cleaning, you may apply another sheet of second skin if desired and leave it on for an additional 4-5 days. If you do this, please skip the Vaseline or Aquaphor and make sure you dry the tattoo and area around it completely before adding another layer of Second Skin. After 4-5 days, remove the Second Skin in the same manner again and continue caring for it as listed above and below. Second Skin may not be an option for you if you have allergic reactions to adhesives.
If at any point you experience excessive redness or burning sensations while wearing the Second Skin, remove immediately and follow the regular cleaning routine.
-After a few days your tattoo will begin to itch and dry out. It may scab over with clear skin a couple of times, similar to a sun burn. Please do not scratch the tattoo at this stage. You can gently slap it or put a bag of frozen peas or an ice-pack on it to reduce itching, just be sure to put a clean paper towel in between, don't apply it directly. Minor redness on an around the tattoo is normal.
Avoid pools, jacuzzis, steam rooms and salt-water swimming for a month. Chlorine and salt water will ruin your fresh tattoo.
Please keep the tattoo out of direct sunlight. Keep it covered if outdoors. DO NOT apply sun-screen to your tattoo for at least a month.
Avoid using your regular moisturizers or body lotions on your tattoo for the first month as well.
Keep an eye on potential infections. With proper care and following the steps above, infections are very unlikely.
Just in case, here are some resources.
